Remember the woman at the well that Jesus told that there was a day coming when we would worship in spirit and in truth? I believe we are in that day. We are beginning to worship not just in word, but also in deed. We believe that worship is a key in accessing the fullness of the Spirit of God in our services and that the more the praises go up the more His Glory comes down.
We also believe that worship is the greatest form of warfare we can do as followers of Jesus. Worship and warfare go hand in hand. The Lord spoke to us in January and said: “I will bring two streams together says the Lord. One without the other my people you cannot afford. Worship and warfare hand in hand. They will take you to your promised land. Two streams flowing together says the Lord.” While you are with us please feel free to worship the Lord in the way that you feel most comfortable with. Not everyone who comes to worship here is familiar with our revelation, and we want you to feel free in your expression of worship. It is our desire that you would enjoy the time you spend with us. Though our worship may seem freer flowing and spontaneous, it does not mean we are more spiritual or that the sin nature may not express itself at times. We are not perfect just endeavoring to move forward in intimacy with HIM.
We believe that if we praise until the spirit of Worship comes and then Worship until the Glory comes we can stand in the Glory and see the fullness of God revealed. For access into Heaven worship is the Key! Arise and Shine for the light of His Glory has risen upon us! Worship is more than a "Song Service.”It is a “Way of Life” ♪♫♪♫ Clapping and shouting The psalms encourage us to respond to the revelation of the nearness of God’s presence and the power of His triumph with expressions of joy, clapping and shouting. Ps. 47:1, 9:11, 32:11, 132:9
Bowing Down The psalms also encourage us to respond to the revelation of God’s majesty by bowing down before Him in worship. Ps. 95:6
Raising our Hands The psalms further encourage us to raise our hands as a response to the revelation of our dependence on God and as a symbolic gesture of our gratitude, longing and surrender. Ps. 28:2, Ps. 63:4 Ps 134:2
Stillness The practice of quieting our souls is also encouraged in the psalms. In the stillness we acknowledge that God alone is exalted. In the spirit we gaze into the beauty of who He is and what it means to have Him in our lives. Ps. 27, Ps. 46:10, Ps. 143:5
The higher the praise, the deeper the worship, the greater the glory!!
Banners and Flags Raising and waving banners and flags celebrate the triumph of His name. It is a way of marching forward in the strength of the Lord and declaring the King is in the house and HE is Lord of our lives. Numbers 2&10 Ps. 20:5, Ps. 60:4.
Dance, Instruments and the Arts The psalmist encouraged all kinds of artistic and joyful expression to communicate the greatness, glory, power, majesty and dominion of God. Ps.149, Ps. 150
Prophecy, Tongues and Interpretation Scripture tells us that the gifts of the Sprit operate through the believers. They are not just to operate but are to be earnestly desired. Since love is the motivation for using these gifts, they should always strengthen, comfort and stir up the faith of the believer. They should never distract attention from the Lord or cause confusion. Prophecy occurs when a person is inspired by the Holy Spirit to speak a word that will edify the body. Tongues operate in the same way as prophecy WHEN there is an interpretation given. The gifts are not for exhibition but to release the love of God in an uplifting and encouraging way. We limit the release of the prophetic to those who are known in the fellowship. Visitors need to bring the word first to leadership, before releasing it.
Laying on of Hands There are many times in the New Testament that Jesus or the apostles either laid their hands on a person or spoke a word with authority and something supernatural happened. The person receiving prayer might receive a special gift or anointing for ministry. 1 Tim. 4:14, They might receive a healing. Mark 16:18 Sometimes, they would speak a command and evil spirits oppressing a person would eject and leave. Luke 4:36
Song of the Lord The Scriptures teach that the ministry of music is a two-way communication between the Lord and His redeemed. We are to speak to ourselves, to one another in songs and hymns and spiritual songs, us to Jesus, and Jesus to us. During our services, given the opportunity, the Lord Jesus Christ will speak to us through the prophetic song. When this occurs, the song will usually line up with the preaching of the Word, and confirm it. There is a deep flow of His anointing to break bondage and save souls in the spiritual ministry of music. This type of flow will only come forth if we yield to His Spirit, and understand the truth of His Word concerning the spiritual songs of the Lord.
The song of the Lord is the ministry of the heart. It is a spiritual song, fresh, new hot off the heavenly press. Not everyone likes this song. It can irritate the flesh of those who have no relationship, intimacy and love with the Lord, but it will bring those who do into a closer more cherished place with Him. When we are praising God we are worshiping Him. When we are singing the Song of the Lord we are revealing Jesus Christ. As we follow the river of God we will flow much like a river sensing His changing flow and refreshing.
"The Lord is MY strength and SONG, and is become my salvation" (Ps 118:14). "Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my song ♪♫♪♫
